Things to Buy in February

I have talked before about how timing purchases strategically can really help you to score some fabulous deals. Now that it is February, you may feel like letting your wallet see the light of day again because you have had about a month to come to terms with those Christmas bills that nearly knocked you over when you opened the envelope. Enter the Best Buy – Biggest Loser Sweepstakes

It appears that Best Buy has connected with the Biggest Loser television program in order to create a somewhat confusing sweepstakes. If I understand correctly, the winners will get some of the tools that contestants use on the Biggest Loser Ranch, (without actually visiting the ranch). The full name of this sweepstakes is “The Biggest Loser Meal Plan & Slimcoach Sweepstakes”. It isn’t being held through the Biggest Loser television program itself. Instead, Best Buy, and their reward zone, appear to be hosting it. What does Best Buy have to do with weight loss? I’ve no idea. The only connection … Continue reading

Darn It – It’s February!

I dislike February for a number of reasons. First, it’s just sort of a gray month. Sure, you’ve got Valentine’s in there, and it sort of perks things up for a bit, but the rest of the month is just gray. There’s an impatient feeling about it, like it’s waiting for spring. Second, you never know if you’re going to have sunshine or snow. Is it jacket weather, or coat weather? The unpredictability is psychologically disturbing. And the reason I even bring it up today … February is a short month, and for most people, a short month means a … Continue reading

Another week, another round up. Did you miss any of these? Preventing Colors from Bleeding Recently, I was astonished to hear my friend’s simply laundry technique.
