Make Extra Money on the Side

In reality, the two main ways to have more cash to spend is to cut expenses or make more income. Do either one of these, and you will see more flow to your bottom line.

A lot of my previous blog entries have been about cutting expenses, today I want to talk about adding to your income. Many of you are privy to a goldmine waiting, all based on your current skills and expertise. One way to add some additional income, without much investment, is through freelance work or consulting.

We all have skills, education, and job experience. No matter what your field, there is someone out there who wants to gain some of your knowledge. You can easily take this and use it for some relatively simple money made on the side. Whether you work full-time or stay home with the kids, this can be a great way to make a little extra for some luxuries.

If you want some extra cash, start by making a list of your current skills and expertise. Then, you will have to go looking for someone who might be willing to pay you for this knowledge.

The following are some scenarios to help you logic this out based on your unique talents:

*One example is someone with a sales background, as there may be a local business that would pay you to do a workshop or seminar on selling for their employees.

*With a medical background, many media outlets are eager for someone with a health career to write, edit, or research their material for accuracy.

*Accountants can do people's taxes on the side.

*Legal professionals can be hired for authenticity when writing documents.

*Office personal can work as virtual assistants or do data entry on the side.

Many smaller businesses don't have the staff or budget to hire someone full-time to do these jobs and many others, so they are quite willing to pay a consulting fee to someone for help.
